There are times when we need to pause, step away from distractions, and seek the Lord. Life has a way of pulling, draining, and exhausting, but God calls His people to come into His presence to be refreshed, renewed, and refilled.
“Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord.” (Acts 3:19)
Revival isn’t about following a set plan—it’s about following where God is leading. As Pastor Steve shared, “We don’t really have an agenda… we just try to follow where God is going.” The focus isn’t on structured meetings but on meeting with God.
Life can wear down even the strongest. Responsibilities, personal challenges, and spiritual battles press in, leaving many feeling empty and exhausted. “I just feel empty… I need some R&R,” Pastor Steve described.
There are two kinds of rest. One is physical—taking time away, stepping back, or finding a place to relax. The other is spiritual renewal, where God revives the weary, strengthens the weak, and restores what has been poured out.
Isaiah 40 declares:
“Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings like eagles,
They shall run and not be weary,
They shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:31)
True renewal doesn’t come from external changes but from an encounter with God’s presence. Just as a webpage needs refreshing, so do our spirits.
Psalm 23:3 reminds us:
“He restores my soul.”
There is a supernatural strength available to those who come and wait on Him. Revival isn’t just for the nation or the church—it’s for every individual who is hungry for more of God.
The invitation from God has always been simple: come.
“Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters…
Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.” (Isaiah 55:1)
The world offers temporary relief, but only in God’s presence is there lasting renewal. No one can earn it, manufacture it, or create it. The only requirement is to come with an open heart.
“In His presence is fullness of joy, at His right hand are pleasures forevermore.” (Psalm 16:11)
This is a time to surrender burdens, let go of distractions, and receive the refreshing that comes from being with Him. God interrupts seasons of weariness with moments of renewal, strengthening His people for what lies ahead.
Lord, refresh, renew, and refill your people. Let your presence restore what is weary, and let your Spirit prepare us for the days to come. We come with expectation, believing that in You, we will find everything we need.
